Website User Roles

We Are All Links in the Same Chain

At ARRL STX, we firmly believe that our team structure is not a hierarchy. There is no “top” or “bottom,” and no single role is considered a higher or lower rank than another. Just like a strong horizontal chain, every link is vital. Every person and every role plays an equally important part in keeping our organization connected, running smoothly, and thriving.

Below is a breakdown of our website user roles and what each team member contributes to the site.

Administrator

This is a behind the scenes background role, providing structural support. Administrators manage the core technical settings of the website, handling the backend tools, server maintenance, and ensuring everything remains secure and operational.

The final polishers. Publishers examine, proofread, and fine-tune submitted content. They are the final checkpoint to ensure our articles look their best before making them live for the world to see.

The voice of our site. Authors are our dedicated writers who draft engaging articles, upload media, and create the core content that brings our website to life.

The community guardians. Moderators foster a healthy, welcoming environment by reviewing comments on our website and keeping our external communities (like the chat, the forum, Groups.io and the website comments) safe and productive.

The inspiration gatherers. Contributors scour the web and submit interesting links, news, and resources into our inspiration pool, providing the sparks that ignite our Authors’ next great articles.

The core community. Subscribers are our valued members who interact with content, leave comments, share it to social media and participate in discussions. Everything we do is built to serve this essential link in the chain.
